We accept new applications for the Consultant Auditor Program from April to December each year. There is a blackout period from January to March every year where ACSA will not accept new applications.
Application Process
Review Eligibility Requirements
Complete the Consultant Auditor Program (CAP) application in MyLearning.
A payment of $100.00 is required to start the application process. Another $100.00 fee will be required when you enroll for the CAP exam once the application is approved and the auditor status is confirmed. You must be a certified auditor at the time you submit your CAP application.
If successful, the applicant will be added to the ACSA list of approved Consultant Auditors
If unsuccessful, the applicant must pay a fee and retake the exam after the deferral period.

Designations

Applicant must have a combination of

  • ACSA NCSO (National Construction Safety Officer) or NHSA (National Health and Safety
  • Administrator) designation and
  • One of the following certifications
    • CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional)
    • CRST (Canadian Registered Safety Technician)
    • CHSC (Certified Health and Safety Consultant)
    • CHSMSA (Certified Health and Safety Management System Auditor)
Audits
Applicant must present three approved company-wide Certification of Recognition (COR) audits from an approved Alberta Certifying Partner. At least one of those audits must be completed using the ACSA Audit Instrument. These three audits must have been completed within the last five years. Applicant must also have a current ACSA Auditor Certification.
 
Documents
Applicant must submit the following as their Consultant Auditor Application package:
  • Copies of certificates (CRSP, CRST, CHSC, or CHSMSA)
  • Copies of three approved COR audits or ACSA audit ID numbers as part of their application
 
An ACSA Administrator will review this within 3-5 business days.
